Welcome to the world of most PR firms. My company touches base on the PR realm as we handle the social media/ online PR space- and we have to know the all of the "bloody details" including the nasty secrets someone could find about a client CEO or some failed project page floating around Google results.

Since we often handle a niche portion online, some clients even say "ask the PR firm" and when we do, the PR firm is CLUELESS about the company's overall strategic and tactical issues. Most of the PR groups have fallen into a lull of taking a hefty paycheck and regurgitating the message until it is nearly incomprehensible.
