Welcome to the Tradeshow Startup blog. I’ll be telling you about myself and my background in this business over the next few weeks so I won’t go into a full bio here. But I will tell you that I’ve started a trade show from scratch and sold it to another show organizer for several million dollars. I promptly went on to spectacular failure with a nanotechnology event I tried to launch.

So I’m 1 for 2.

I’m trying it again – starting a tradeshow from absolute zero and working to grow it. This web log will serve two purposes:

1) Help me remember how damn hard it was to do this and what I did right and wrong along the way
2) Help other entrepreneurial show producers out there who are also doing this or are thinking about doing this.
